#FFXI – Chocobo Digging Guide Revisited

I originally authored the first guide that was posted between 2007-2009. This was at a time items had a faster turnover rate, there was no fatigue system, and there was more competition and fewer zones available. Since then, Ghysal Greens now stack to 99, most ores and logs now stack, new zones and a key item chocobo whistle was introduced, and certain items are more profitable than others.

Startup

  1. Multiple stacks of Ghysal Greens – about 10-15 per day.
  2. Blue Race Silks (obtained via chocobo racing strongly recommended for low levels)
  3. Black Chocobo Suit (this is for higher level digging with no delay timer) – obtained during New Year Days event from Moogle Shop
  4. Chocobo Wand (obtained from special event but very hard to get)
  5. Demin Pants (need 2 to Syngerize the HQ; obtained from Login Points/Events) – can be used with Blue Race Silks to optimize profits.

Pros of Chocobo Digging

  1. Can take it to max level and still take another craft to max level.
  2. Easy to break even once you get level high enough to have no delay between digs.
  3. Costs of digging stays fixed.
  4. Gear related to digging are cheap

Cons of Chocobo Digging

  1. Approximately 2000 stacks required to get to max level.
  2. Takes 2 to 3 years in real life of daily digging to get to max level if you dig to fatigue daily.
  3. Egg Helm is useless
  4. Requires a lot of free inventory spaces, thus making Gobbiebag and Mog Sack quests mandatory.
  5. Best zones often require a personal chocobo and completion of the Chocobo Whistle quest for the key item.

Best Zones to Dig

  1. Qufim Island. This zone is best dug at night with no weather active and with Black Chocobo Suit equipped. (Digging during day and/or weather active is not preferred due to other less desirable items being added to the pool.) The money making items are Silica (about 110-130k a stack on AH with decent turnover even in 2022), and Heavy Metal Plate tends to have its best dig rates. Dynamis Currency also digs up but not as common. Digging at night is strongly recommended as you can also dig up Sparkling Stones (they sell very well per stack). The main drawback is that Black Chocobo Suit reduces dig accuracy so you need to have no dig delay between digs to make this a viable zone. If you have high alchemy skill, Magic Pot Shards turn into cermet chunks that are combined with Silica for Imperial Cermet, an item that is used to make automation attachments.
  2. Behemoth’s Dominion. The main targets are Behemoth Hide, Darksteel Ore, and Lightning Clusters. Heavy Metal Plates can be found here but the rate is not as good as Qufim. The Clusters and Darksteel will move quickly in the AH and both have surprisingly uncommon rates. The rare item is Bloodthread. This zone is only the second best compared to Qufim because everything else dug up is junk unless you got a very high goldsmithing skill to deal with the geodes. Digging with weather active is not recommended. Behemoth Hides also move at a considerably slower rate than Silica.
  3. Xarcabard (S). This zone is a woodworkers paradise and come with a home point crystal for easy access. The main target is Sif’s Macrame, which goes over 1.5M a stack or 120k a single. Jacaranda Logs can max out a Woodworking skill. Everything else aside from Dynamis Currency, Gold Beastcoin, and Dragon Heart is junk, and unless you stay in the southeast corner you risk aggro from everything, and this is why it drops lower on the top zones.
  4. Grauberg (S). Need the survival guide near Pashhow (S) zone to get a easy warp and it drops down on my preferred ones as a result. Digging by the pixies is strongly recommended so you can pop Bottled Pixies. Personal chocobo with key item is required. Like Xarcabard (S), Jacarand Logs can be dug. Bore ability allows Darksteel Ores to be dug. Digging at night with no weather effects is recommended with Black Chocobo Suit equipped to avoid junk being added to the pool.
  5. Lufaise Meadows. This zone requires advancement in certain missions with CoP to access but the target is Griffon Hide. This item sells best as singles as it is required for Geomancer quests and AF i119. Heavy Metal Plates can be dug. Dig only at night with no weather present and with Black Chocobo Suit equipped.
  6. Rolanberry Fields (S). Sif’s Macrame digs up at a better rate than Xarcabard (S) but unless you dig at night with no weather present the rest of the pool is filled with junk items. The good news is that the dig pool for Rolanberry only has 10 items at night with no weather present and as long as you did not progress in the Wings of Goddess mission after the first mission, you will not dig up allied notes.

Football Manager 2023 – USA Player Database

I am currently in the process of updating the player database and addressing the known duplicate players (mostly in USL Championship/League One, MLS Next Pro, and to a lesser extent MLS) at this time. This is a time consuming process and I have spent almost all the free time since the release of FM 23 addressing this and not even close of finishing.

This is a player only database update. Its pointless of making playable leagues when you constantly have to verify the database whenever you edit it. If you want to create playable leagues – you are free of downloading the files and editing them yourself as long you do not upload this database on any other medium.

Below are some of the screenshots of the database

The first two screenshots show one of several immigrant clubs in the United States System. These are real clubs based in actual USA cities – and all of them have a simple club culture – they only recruit players from certain ethic background. Almost every nation will be represented – with the exception being the major nations.

Colleges will be represented as this is the more realistic way that the MLS Superdraft is done in real life. All NCAA Division 1 colleges will be in the game and eventually all rosters will be included. (This will take a very long time because it takes about 6 hours to do one team and there are over 200 clubs in NCAA D1.) Some of the Junior Colleges, NAIA, and Division 2 and 3 powerhouses will be included but due to over 1000 colleges in the United States this will not be feasible to include them all.

If a player has “PH” next to their name, it is a created player in the database that had signed professional terms but has not yet been added by Football Manager. This will be common with the NISA teams. Other leagues will happen if the player had signed professional contracts after September 1, 2022.

In addition, this screenshot shows a basic layout of the entire German pyramid that goes all the way to Level 14 and has already been organized. Not all the teams have been added and placed in their league at this time, especially that almost all teams in Level 7 and below have to be manually added. Starting at Level 7, the German league structure is done on a state level but not all states do it and the promotion/relegation setups will vary. Some states only go down to Level 10 but a few go all the way down to Level 14.

As mentioned earlier, most of the players in the NISA league had to be manually added. Fortunately, the league provides the roster numbers, date of births, and Transfermarkt details the positions of most of the players. The same is the case for all Arena Futsal teams in the USA, Major Indoor Soccer League is good about providing basic information and clubs are required to detail contract lengths.

Contracts

Almost every player at USL Championship, USL League One, MLS Next Pro, and NISA are on contracts that are only for one year. The contracts will be set to December 31 of the year it is due to the manner that game runs future contracts. USA Arena Futsal contracts traditionally expire on June 30 due to the league going into two calendar years (they play in the winter) – these will also be set to December of the year that the player has a contract expires.

A player that plays both for Major Indoor Soccer League (Arena Futsal) and a USL/NISA team will have their Arena Futsal contract take priority and THEY WILL BE LOANED to their outdoor club with terms that the loan cannot be terminated but the player is always available to play for parent club. US Soccer allows players to do this in real life as they treat outdoor contracts and futsal contracts separate – its up to those two clubs to decide when the player is available for which club and when.

Below is a sample of such a player. Williamson has a professional contract with Harrisburg Heat in the Major Indoor Soccer League that is due to expire in 2023. He signed a professional outdoor contract with Flower City Union earlier in 2022 that is only for that season. This example shows futsal contract taking priority and the player being loaned.

Clubs in leagues that allow players to join on amateur contracts (almost always restricted to players under a certain age) will have their players manually added to their separate youth teams and added to their applicable club via a loan that will expire on July 31 (the night before the college soccer transfer window officially opens). These contracts allow domestic player get professional minutes while keeping NCAA eligibility.

College soccer has their main transfer window from August 1 through August 31 where NCAA allows new players to be registered for clubs and compliance checks are made. The secondary transfer window starts either the second or third Monday of January and goes through the end of that month that only allows players to transfer from one college to another college. In real life the college teams player their games from mid August through November (postseason goes through mid December) and then after a holiday break, teams resume in mid January and play only friendlies until mid April when their season ends. Players can only go on loans to amateur or semi professional clubs from their college teams from May 1 through July 31 and this is why the NPSL/USL League Two clubs only run a short season in real life. UPSL and regional amateur leagues (such as the New York City based Cosmopolitan League) tend to run on a season that starts in September and end in May and are often packed with either high school age players, or packed with players that have exhausted collegiate eligibility – and most of the clubs run on hybrid contract systems. All youth soccer leagues (MLS Next, US Youth League, ECNL) run on a August through May schedule and players cannot be older than league age 19 (for the 2022/2023 season the players cannot have a 2003 birth year unless they are still in high school or had a graduation year of 2022 and taking a gap year).

Virtually every college recruits foreign players – sometimes from the major academies. Some will recruit from the lower divisions of the pyramid. Because the college soccer system has no limit for international players and USA allows players to play for amateur clubs on a student visa, the trend called soccer immigration is a real deal. About 75% of the international players that go to USA for college soccer stay in the states after graduation because most of them end up with a green card – which not only allows them to obtain driver licenses and jobs – it allows them to be counted as a domestic player. A few of them end up getting naturalized and even feature for the USMNT. There are also loopholes in federal laws that allow a player to become eligible – the most notable example was in the 1998 World Cup when a player based in Germany called David Regis married a US Citizen that was stationed at the Rhine Military Base run by the US Army. John Brooks is another similar example except both parents were stationed in Germany due to military related reasons. US Air Force has a base in Frankfurt. Had he not been cap tied by Austria, Christian Fuchs would have been another example of this loophole – all of his kids were born in NYC to a Romanian immigrant mother who was naturalized and he had dated while playing for Schalke and later got married soon after the transfer to Leicester. Some of these loopholes have since been closed up in recent years by Congress and FIFA laws had been updated after the 1998 World Cup but it is still possible for a player to become eligible solely by marriage and/or children.

Some of those USMNT players get naturalized the hard way by waiting the 5 consecutive years and passing the written examination, such as Preki (who did it through Arena Futsal which was a common pathway to national team caps in the 1980s and even the early 1990s), Dom Dywer, and Julian Gressel (who got naturalized too late to be considered for the 2022 World Cup – and played a position that the team had zero depth due to injuries and lack of numbers in the top flight).

Final provided screenshot is a player who has full college playing experience added. These players will be updated with their college stats as they update contracts and change teams.

#FFXI – Blacksmithing Guide Revised (2022 Version)

Blacksmithing is expensive but with proper HELM and/or farming techniques you can cut costs and get to 110. Currently working on the Phoenix server in FFXI with a blacksmithing mule called Descozed and this is the route currently on. A few things have changed in 20 years on the crafting skill up routes – mostly that ores are now stackable (when game came out, it was not the case) and its easier to obtain cheaper ores from NPC. Save all materials crafted unless otherwise instructed because you will need them later.

Bronze Ingot – can now take this to level 12

Tin Ingot – caps now at 26 but stop early to go to Iron Ingots. (by level 14 or 15)

Iron Ingot – caps now at 31 and take it all the way to 31.

Plain Cap – caps now at 45 but take it to 34-36 area as a bridge. Fish rusty items in Rabao. Everything else wastes materials and sell Plain Caps to NPC. Another alternative is to craft Iron Sheets from Iron Ingots.

Iron Mittens – caps now at 52. Only takes one iron sheet, and a single lizard skin that you can get a lot in Crawlers Nest or Kuftal Tunnel. NPC them and stop around 45 to 48 to begin Darksteel Ingots.

Darksteel Ingots – Caps now at 63 and do not stop until you hit 63. Ores can be easily farmed via mining Woh Gates or digging Behemoths Dominion.

Darksteel Sheet – Caps at 66 but you won’t begin until you are at 63. Once you hit cap, use sheeting to convert a few more stacks into sheets because you will need them later.

Nodowa – if you got remaining iron ingots convert them to sheets and farm silk thread in Crawlers or Boyahda. Caps at 77. Sell to NPC.

Darksteel Nodowa – Caps at 94 but stop early (by the time you hit 82 or 83). Sell to NPC. Difference is that it takes a Darksteel Sheet instead of Iron.

Adaman Ingot – Caps at 101 and you will be using them almost all the way to that point. Adaman Ore can be farmed in Gustav Tunnel if you got an i119 thief (about 20% drop rate).

Misericorde – Caps at 103 and use all Darksteel and Adaman Ingots up. The reason why to skill up on this dagger is simple – this item is used for relic weapon quest for dagger and another quest involving Oboro involving a JSE dagger. The consequences is that this dagger goes on the AH for over 150k gil depending on server and it can only be obtained via crafting. I strongly recommend wearing that ring that prevents the HQs while crafting this item. Be careful about the number you list on the AH at a time, sticking to one or two per every other day and sell slowly.

Bismuth Ingot – Caps at 113 and the ores are obtained through mining Woh Gates or by clearing reives there. The advantage of this item is due to the fact most mobs in Woh Gates (except for Snolls, Efts, and Velkk) do not aggro and there are safe mining points to camp. The drawback is the mining fatigue system. The other advantage is that it takes two cheap ores that you can get from the NPC for very cheap at this point. There is no decent stuff right now that takes Ingots but Bismuth makes the Arsay weapons that are i119 for people that have placed at least 100 job points into a job.

Midrium Ingots – Only caps at 104 but obtained by mining Marjami Ravine. This ingot is used in a quest called Vegetable Vegetable Crisis and as such sells for a good chunk on the AH. Throw a few of these in from time to time if you see the AH stock of this item very low.

Ra’Kaznar Ingot – Caps at 113 and ores are obtained through mining in outer Ra’Kaznar or through reives there. Unlike Bismuth, there is more useful items for subsequently craft namely the SU2 weapons and even the high end JSE belt for RNG/COR.

Dullahan Armor – this is a desynth and while it rarely gives you skillups, it caps in the 120 area and it results in the obtaining Akaso Cloth which is used for Geomancer Artifact Armor and is usually sold as singles in the AH.

Disgaea 6 Speed Run

Before the Run

Go to Settings and set all animations to skip and to the fastest scrolling speeds that are available. This is similar to Taechuk’s method but involves some lift and throw to get Zed closer to the enemies where it is appropriate to do so. It comes down to RNG and a good run can be done in a hour but a bad run can be closer to 3. You don’t have the 2x and 4x battle speeds but you can skip animations of charge moves by pressing X or Triangle once the animation begins.

The major difference is that this speed run is to Rakasasha 5 clear – there will be special notes as the storyline progresses that will be different than a normal storyline speed run. Praise my Performance Bill is optional during the speed run and may want to not use that bill to save on mana. If you opt for that bill, its when you kill Hero during 6-4.

Start Game

Map 1 – Use Lightning Strike (third move from top), End Turn. Depending on RNG, enemies may line up perfectly.

Chapter 1

Go to weapon shop and buy a bow and equip on Zed. Buy several Fairy Dusts. Head to Dimension Gate. Open chest for Cerebus Armor and equip on Zed.

Note these tutorials on first three maps cannot be avoided and you need to interact until you can skip the cutscene.

Map 1

Just send out Zed and one Warrior to attack and end turn. Use Mint Gum if you are low on health. Depending on RNG you can clear in 2 turns.

Map 2

Throw the single block next to the one with three blocks. End Turn. Go up the stairs. End turn. Move into range to attack the warrior from the side and end turn. Attack, move three panels, and end turn. Attack until martial artist is dead using Mint Gum if very low on health.

Map 3

Go enter dark assembly for cutscene and leave. Head to cheat shop and set XP to 150 and rest to 90.

Destroy Green Panel on Blue. End Turn. Destroy Red Panel on Green. End Turn. Attack warrior on the left. If your level is high enough this should put enemies in perfect position for Lightning Strike but it is highly unlikely you have that move. The main reason to get this geo chain is the bonus gauge will be at the max. Go to the left and attack warrior on left. Side attack remaining enemies from furthest distance away.

Map 4

Before you enter the map go use shortcut for Dark Assembly and make 5 level 1 prinnies. Have Zed attempt to do Hog All EXP – you only got one shot to pull it off so make it count. If that passes, have another party member attempt Throw a Welcome Party. If the Hog All EXP bill fails, the speed run attempt will fail and you have to start all over again from the beginning. Saving before the Hog All XP bill is recommended.

Go to cheat shop and set enemy strength to 20 stars. Go to the next map, have Zed out with 9 low level characters standing next to each other, and have Zed lift one prinny and throw it at the same spot it was lifted from. Zed should be around Level 900 to 950 by the end of this map.

Chapter 2

Reset enemy difficulty to 0 stars and use the shortcut to get to the General Store. Buy latest robe, 3 slippers. Head to skill shop and Get Poison Vaccine. – if playing the JP version it should be on the top of the Vaccine evilities. Go to Zed evility screen and equip both evilities and unlock all d-merits obtained. Use the dimension guide shortcut to enter maps. Change the class on Zed to Prinny.

Map 1

Zed should have Volcanic Shout to use on the first set of enemies and be able to finish them off with counterattacks. Use normal attack for the warrior for Turn 2. Gunners should be one shotted with the Bow.

Map 2

If on Rak 5 Speedrun: Go to Quest Shop and accept Training Trial, Fists of Fury, and Food Frenzy and exit.

Enter Map 2 and attack warrior and end turn. Go straight as far as possible next turn and end turn as none of the enemies will be in range. For Turn 3 the two thief and warrior should be lined up for Volcanic Shout. Attack Gunner next turn. Go for the Thief on the one end to one shot with a bow.

Map 3

Go straight to warrior and attack. Battle should be over in one or two turns.

Map 4

If on Rak 5 Speedrun: Head to squad shop and put available prinnies in Juice Shop, Zed and two others in Skill Shop, and rest in the other unlocked squads.

For next map have Zed to put Green Panel on Blue and Misedor put Blue on Green. Next turn have Zed attack the green panel to put whole map with Ally Boost 50% and put Misedor back in base panel. After that it is matter of keeping Zed on Blue Panels and attacking the rest of the enemies using Volcanic Shout if the enemies are lined up.

Map 5

If on Rak 5 Speedrun: Have one member placed in Innocent Squad and put 2 Statisticians in the Innocent Farm if you have them. Spend XP on Juice Shop if able to do so, although this may be very costly at first and place as many party members in there.

Save the game and have Zed Hog All XP. Have another member use Throw a Welcome Party. Set Difficulty to 20 stars. Enter map and have Zed throw the prinny to the other prinny blowing them all up. Zed should survive so next step is have Zed go to the Super Overlord and attack until Zed dies. Zed should be between Level 1800-1900.

Chapter 3

If on Rak 5 speedrun: Put 3 people in Dark Assembly Squad. Complete the Training Trial Quest, use the scroll on Zed, and have Zed to equip the new Evility to give a 5% attack bonus. If Zed has 250 mana available go to skill shop and buy Muscle Increase, otherwise go to drink shop and buy enough mana for Zed 1 at at time until 250 mana is obtained. If mana is depleted before that is done, just exit the drink shop. Reset Cheat Shop to 0 stars and head to Map 1.

Map 1

Attack the Zombie on the left standing two panels to the left of the second pillar from the base panel. This will line up the Zombies for Volcanic Shout or Lightning Strike on the next turn. Use normal attacks until Zombies are dead without moving. If done right, the gunners and warrior should be lined up perfectly for Lightning Strike on the following turn. Next turn take out the gunner and end turn, then eliminate the warrior.

Map 2

Walk up to the zombies and use Lightning Strike and end turn. Depending on RNG, the counters should kill both zombies. Attack the Mothman next turn. Mage the following turn if is still alive. Attack the mage that is standing alone and not doing anything next. Next turn attack the mage closest to the base panel. Move towards the next set of enemies. Kill the two zombies then the mage to end the map.

Map 3

Walk up to the three warriors and use Volcanic Shout and end turn. Use Lightning Strike next turn on the survivors. If you line up right, the enemies should be in a line for either Volcanic Shout or Lightning Strike the following turn. Next turn use Lightning Strike on healer and gunner and ignore the zombies. Next turn attack closest zombie not on yellow and stand next to that zombie. Next turn kill zombie not on yellow and move next to red geo symbol to pull the remaining zombie off that panel when it is enemy turn.

Map 4

Keep Zed off Red panels in the next map, using Lightning Strike as appropriate to get rid of groups of enemies. Use normal attack on mages.

Map 5

Should be just enough mana in drink shop to get Zed to 50 mana for the Hog All XP bill. Unlock any D-Merits for Zed. Do that and save game first. Zed should have used the drink shop around 100 times at this point. If the Hog All XP bill passes, have other party members do the Welcome Party. Set cheat shop difficulty to 20 stars and do the map with the Super Overlord like you have done in previous chapters. Zed should be between level 2600 to 2700.

Chapter 4

Reset enemy difficulty to 0 stars. Buy Charm, Sleep, and Paralyze Vaccine evilities on Zed and equip them.

Map 1

Bring out Misedor, move one panel from base panel toward the martial artists, bring out Zed, have Misedor lift and throw Zed to the Martial Artists to put Zed in range to attack all three with Lightning Strike. Next turn have Zed use Lighting Strike again. Have Zed attack the remaining Gunner to spawn Martial Artists. Lightning Strike the Martial Artists and have Zed move back towards base panel and Misedor towards a spot two to the right of the base panel. Next turn have Zed move to Misedor and Misedor lift and throw Zed over to a spot that is in range for the bow on the Ninja.

Fist of Fury quest should be completed by now so turn that quest in and have Zed equip Grappler.

Map 2

Have Zed move to the green spot in the center of the yellow panels and pass turns allowing the enemies to get closer. If any set of enemies line up for Lightning Strike use it.

Map 3

Advance and let the enemies charge. Use Lightning Strike if opportunity arises.

Map 4

Have Zed and a Prinny (level 20) move towards Red Panel. Zed lifts the prinny and ends turn while standing on red panel. Turn 2 just end turn by moving one panel. When Prinnies arrive, have Zed throw prinny and the move on Green Panel and end turn. Turn 4 use lightning strike on the prinny and Martial Artist. Turn 5 kill remaining prinnies and move to blue panel and end turn. Clear the remaining enemies to clear map.

Map 5

Save game and do the XP bills with Zed getting Hog All XP. Set enemy difficulty to 20 stars. Repeat the same process for Map 5 as with previous chapters. Zed should be between level 3400 to 3500.

Chapter 5

Keep difficulty at 20 stars. Go and pass the Hog XP bill only. Buy shoes and equip them on Zed.

Map 1

Bring out the four story characters in a line. Have one lift Zed off Base Panel. Throw Zed until Zed is standing next to Red Geo Symbol on Green Panel. Zed throws Geo Symbol on the Blue Geo Symbol causing a geo chain that kills all enemies. Zed should gain about 30 to 40 levels on this map. After map put difficulty at 0 stars.

Map 2

Kill enemies and work way to the No Entry Geo Symbol killing enemies as you go. Stand next to geo symbol that is No Entry (light blue on Yellow) before killing it. This should set enemies lined up following turn for Lightning Strike depending on Zed’s movement.

Map 3

If doing Rak 5 Speed Run: Prior to the map go to the quest shop and get the Sea Angel kill quest. The reward is Fortune Song which will be used later.

Let the enemies charge from the second level until enemy base panel stops spawning monsters. Once they area gone move up the floors until map is cleared.

Map 4

This is the map where the Longhorn quest is needed. Attack enemies not standing on invincible panels and lift and throw enemies onto each other if the RNG does not go your way. Complete that quest and do Fairy Dust turn in quest for 500 drink shop mana.

Map 5

Hog all XP and other XP bills and set difficulty to 20 stars. Do the same as Map 5 in other chapters. Zed should be close to level 4200.

Chapter 6

Reset enemy strength to 0 stars.

Map 1

Attack everything in sight moving next to a wooden box after gunner is dead. Throw the box next to the wall next turn and move up to next level. Lightning Strike the 2 knights next turn to trigger enemy reinforcements. Pick them off before going to throw another box to access the third level. This will force the ninja to drop down and you should be able to counter attack kill the three to end the stage.

Map 2

Lift and throw Zed off the base panel to lightning strike the armor knights. Put the thrower back in base panel the second turn and have Zed go and pick off the remaining enemies and head up stairs to clean up the rest.

Map 3

Have a warrior lift Zed off base panel towards the 3 mobs. Zed uses Lightning Strike on the trio which should kill at least two of them if luck pans out with subsequent counter attacks. Turn 2 Zed throws the two boxes that are together towards the wall and the warrior enters base panel. This will align the archers for another Lightning Strike that will take both out depending on RNG.

Head up to the second level to take out both armor knights and move more boxes to access the third level. Kill the third armor knight from the edge of the third level then move on to take out the rest.

Map 4

Before entering the map pass Hog All XP, Throw a Welcome Party, and Praise my Performance bills.

Zed goes and Lightning Strike the 2 mages. Have the remaining low level characters stand behind base panel and make a tower. Deal with the Hero and Armor Knight on top for last but make sure to kill the healer first. Whatever you do, do not destroy geo symbols.

Pre Map Prep

Have Zed Hog All Mana, then save the game. Buy Tenacity from Evility Shop and equip that evility. Have Zed pass Triple XP bill – unlikely to pass – persuade by force. If map loads several level 2500 enemies with healing ability, reload the game. The goal is to have as few 2500 enemies that can heal before you attempt to clear the map. Lift and throw Zed off Base Panel and try to take out the healers and any Level 2500 enemies as quickly as possible.

Pass the remaining XP bills (not by force) then and depending on RNG should have 6800-7000 mana left. Buy Mean Guy Evility and equip that. Go to Juice bar and use the mana one at a time until you hit 100 uses. Use D Merits if you got them. Reincarnate Zed putting Karma in Counters, Movement, Damage Up, and rest in attack and hit.

Map 5

Put Cheat Shop to 20 stars bring out Zed and 9 prinnies and have Zed throw a Prinny to end the battle. Zed should be at level 6200.

Chapter 7

Maps should be quickly cleared from this point. Reset back to 0 stars.

Map 1

Move to nearest enemy and attack. Lightning Strike if enemies line up.

Map 2

Zed uses Lightning Strike on 3 of the Zombies. Move to the right and kill enemy on far right. Two or three more kills more enemies will spawn and you will be more in the middle able to deal with them from either side. Kill the 3 zombies that spawn last.

Equip the Heart Shooter that drops if you get the one time bonus.

Map 3

Have a warrior throw Zed towards a horseman and zombie and Zed uses Lightning Strike on the two. Do the same on the other batch. Single target attacks on the rest.

Map 4

Warrior throws yellow on red and Zed destroys the Yellow Geo Symbol triggering a chain. Use Lightning Strike where necessary.

Map 5

Zed walks up and kills boss. Unlike the previous chapters, there is no battle end for this map.

Chapter 8

Map 1

First three enemies are lined up for Lightning Strike. Move left for turn two to Lightning Strike two more enemies. Move into Bow range for the third. Lightning strike the Pincer Shell but keep the other martial artist alive. After that martial artist dies, more enemies spawn and it will set up for another Lightning Strike. Move towards other group and use Voltaic Strike on the archers.

Map 2

Have Warrior throw Zed off base panel to lightning strike the first set of enemies. Lightning strike the containers. This will give Zed enough clearance to kill Gunners on the next turn and counter attack on enemy turn.

Map 3

Keep Zed near base panel and exploit the enemy AI of charging towards Zed. This will reduce the need of Zed being exposed to deathblow.

Map 4

Attack Battle Maidens on the left, then the ones on the right. Kill the Psychic to clear map.

Map 5.

Have Warrior and Misedor throw Zed to the Super Overlord. Kill the enemy.

Chapter 9

Map 1

Zed destroys the geo block closest to the Base Panel to get rid of No Ranged. Enemies will go down one by one.

Map 2

Move towards Pincer Shell ignoring the Sea Angels and kill the Pincer Shell with a ranged attack. Kill Succubus on the right first then those two sea angels. Work towards the other two sea angels and more enemies will spawn. Kill first set of Evil Eyes on left first.

Map 3

Kill Dragon.

Map 4

Kill Dragon again

Map 5

Kill the Overlord.

Chapter 10

Map 1

Target Armor knight that is to the right of the Psychic. Target Martial Artist second. Take out everything else.

Map 2

Lighting Strike the two enemy group. Kill Magic Knight and move to the center. Since these other enemies will not move just get inside bow range and snipe.

Map 3

Lightning Strike the two dragons. The enemies should move in alignment where the evil eyes can be Lightning Strike, then the two healers. If RNG runs correct the two dragons will be lined up for another Lightning Strike.

Map 4

Go behind the Dragon and ranged attack. This will line up two enemies for Voltaic Shoot. Following the killing of the first group, a second batch will spawn. Lightning Strike if there is groups clumped together. Killing that group spawns a third crew so head towards them before ending turn. A fourth unit will spawn so do not go too close to the third group.

Zed kills.

Chapter 11

Map 1

Warrior throws Zed to the first enemy unit for Lightning Strike. Killing all but one enemy will spawn more enemies. If set up right, 3 enemies should be in position for Lightning Strike. Killing 3 will spawn more enemies. Kill the remaining enemies before moving on to that group as 3 of them will line up nicely for another Lightning Strike. If charmed by that group just end turn.

Map 2

Warrior throws Zed towards one of the groups and Zed uses Lightning Strike. Zed returns to Base Panel for turn 2 and Warrior throws Zed to another group for another Lightning Strike. This will set up two enemies for a third Lightning Strike.

Map 3

Zed moves towards the Zombies and uses Lightning Strike. After killing the zombies and one more enemy, more spawn further downstairs and two more enemies closest to Zed should be primed for another Lightning Strike. Move and kill the rest making note of groupings that should be hit with Lightning Strike.

Map 4

Zed to group of Zombies and Lightning Strike. Destroy Clone Geo Symbols ASAP. This forces enemies to move off those symbols and attack.

Map 5

Zed destroys God of Destruction.

Chapter 12

Map 1

Zed goes to the right and kills enemies. When first wave is down, a second wave spawns. Move towards the second wave using Lightning Strike if opportunity hits.

Map 2

Warrior and Ivar lift Zed off Base Panel to throw him in range to do a Lightning Strike on the first group. Fairy Dust is a must if Zed is Paralyzed. This map is about racing to the other side and the first set of lifts and throws will ensure that the map is cleared.

Map 3

Two persons (Warrior and Ivar) lift Zed off Base Panel and throw him to the enemies. Zed Lightning Strikes the 3 gunners. Kill Cleric next turn and end turn without moving. Go to the group best lined up for Lightning Strike next. Kill remaining group.

Map 4

Zed Lightning Strikes the Pincer Shells. Kill the ninjas from a distance, then Sea Angels.

Map 5

Zed should be able to attack God of Destruction without a lift and throw off base panel.

Chapter 13

Map 1

Lightning strike the martial artists. Turn two move to the right of the archer and used ranged attack and end turn. Go next to archer on higher ledge on Turn 3 and rear attack the archer on the lower ledge. Map should be cleared before Turn 4 happens.

Repeat. May end up evading first turn on you. Keep attacking and get a rear attack if you can.

Chapter 14

Map 1

Lift Zed off base panel and throw him towards first group of enemies for a Lightning Strike. Turn 2 move Zed back towards Base Panel and end turn. If Zed gets Silenced have someone come out on Turn 3 to use Fairy Dust then have Ivar lift and throw Zed further. Zed should be able to Lightning Strike the other group. Zed goes down and kills Mothman to clear map.

Map 2

Warrior lifts and throws Zed for a Lightning Strike on zombies which should survive the attack but not the ensuing counter attack. Zed moves towards the other group. Killing all but one will trigger a new spawn. Kill the remaining then move towards the other group.

Map 3

Use three people to lift and throw Zed off Base Panel and Lightning Strike a Sea Angel and one Dragon. Dragon will survive the initial attack. Attack dragon on turn 2 with a ranged attack. Sea Angels should go down on the counter attack.

Map 4

Zed attacks God of Destruction on the left and ends turn. Turn two the one on the right careful not to get in range of the other. Turn 3 rear attack the remaining.

Map 5

Set Cheap Shop to 500 for XP and rest into Mana. Zed attacks God of Destruction from left to right.

Chapter 15

Reset Cheat Shop to 275 for XP, and rest split evenly in Mana/HL. Other values should the at the minimum.

Map 1

Before heading out buy Blue Storm and equip. Use two people and throw Zed to where he can get in position on Mages for Lightning strike or one person and do the Zombies. Attack the mage next turn. Lightning Strike remaining groups if able.

Map 2

Use two people to lift and throw Zed off base panel to the God of Destruction on the left. It may end up surviving the normal attack. Move Zed halfway between the first and second and it will set up for a rear attack.

Map 3

Zed range attacks from furthest possible distance, using side and rear attacks if able.

Map 4

One character lifts and throws Zed off base panel. Zed gets in between the two Gods of Destruction and side attacks the one on left. A counter attack will deal with the other. This leaves the clone and Zed moves in for a rear attack.

Map 5

Stay out of the range of the main God of Destruction and deal with the lesser ones first. Attack from the side and it should go down in 1 or 2 turns.

Postgame

If you got DLC, you clear Mao, Desco, Rozalin, Plenair, Asagi, and Valvatore Fights at 0 Stars to unlock them. Those three have common evilities you will need later. Unlock all remaining quest, turning in what has been completed.

Go to Cheat Shop and enable “Back to Square One” and put all the sliders towards Mana and rest into XP. Hog all XP onto Mao. The party that should be coming out is Zed (kills enemies), Mao, Valvatore, Ivar, Asagi, and Bieyu. Map clear 14-4 until you got enough mana stored to be able to pass Hog All Mana bill on Zed and get at least 50,000 Mana.

Pass the “Accept an Overlord’s Challenge” and be prepared to pass by force.

Put drink shop XP into Innocent Squad Shop until you can bread captured innocents. Early emphasis is statistician innocents, then professional, status resist, and status causing innocents.

Clear the Overlord Challenge maps. There are 8 of them and none of them are difficult.

Pass the Challenge the Carnage Dimension map. Switch Sliders to where XP is at the Max, and rest is split evenly in the other stats.

Now go into the reincarnation scene and reincarnate Mao and Zed and unlock first level cap. Use Skill Shop and buy XP boosting evilities from Valvatore, Ivar, Asagi, and Bieyu and put them on Mao and Zed. If you got statistician to 900 place the innocent on Zed. Power level Mao first by having him Hog all XP bills.

To optimize the power leveling process, you will need 90 level 1 prinnies and put Recycling Spirit on them. The final group that has Mao and Zed will use 8 other characters that have Lovely Song, Prinny Instructor, and Asagi’s evility that boosts XP. The character that kills God of Destruction must have Statistician equipped on at least one piece of equipment and all XP gaining evilities enabled. You will not have enough mana to do it in a single go, so create 10 prinnies at a time with Recycling Spirit until you can create 90 to 100 of them.

You will also need to create two thieves.

But you will go put the Cheat Shop to 20 stars, turn on “turn everyone into a bomb”, remain in Normal mode, and head to Map 14-5. Lift groups of 10 prinnies that have recycling spirit. This is the first map where Auto Battle is useful. In the final group if everyone is a bomb is enabled make Zed attack God of Destruction while everyone else defends. Repeat process once for Zed, Mao, and two thieves. Complete quests, especially the ones for the stat modifiers.

Use Triple XP/Hog All Xp/Throw a Welcome Party with Zed.

Next step is to use drink shop method and reincarnate Zed. Put XP into Reincarnation Skill Shop and use drink shop to 101 mana on Zed and reincarnate Zed until these evilities are known: XP +40%, 80%, and 100%; Handicap, Damage Reward, and Mana Scarcity. Depending on RNG this can take just a few reincarnations or closer to the 100. Use remaining drink shop mana to put XP 40%, 80%, and 100% on Mao and have Mao equip those evilities.

After this, do Carnage 1-5 with Mao attempting the kills.

Change sliders where Weapon Mastery is at the Max. Set Enemy Stars to 0.

Next step is to farm HL so classes can be mastered on Zed and Mao but most importantly you got weapon mastery to get a Rank 39 weapon AND have HL to buy Mr Gency Exits from the mystery room shop.. Change evility build on Zed to have Tenacity, Damage Reward, and Handicap – keep in mind you only got 12 slots to start. Go to Map 2-3 (normal, not carnage) and spend long enough to auto battle the warrior until a weapon (recommended a fist or sword) is mastered to 100. It is recommended to set an auto party of just Zed for this purpose. Have Mao or a Thief kill the warrior when this happens to complete the map.

Thieves are only good for opening chests and stealing from item gods, so have Thieves get Hasty Rush from Laharl, the evility from Fuka that enhances steal, and equip both, and pass all DI related bills and set an auto battle for thieves to open chests via chest sweep and rest of the party to all out attack. Equip thieves with bows. Mao and Zed should have Zombie Reincarnation, Ultimate Mean Guy, and remaining slots to an XP gain evility. Mao and Zed should also be equipped to bows. Set sliders to HL to 90, Mana to 10, and XP to 1000.

The next phase is the item world, you will enter every mystery gate that spawns. This is the most RNG heavy part of the speed run – good RNG means you can get done in about 90 minutes but bad RNG can mean nearly 3 hours. Lot of the RNG is going to depend on how the mystery room spawns, how the innocents load on bonus stages, and especially the unique innocents drop from item god. The first batch of HL farming had two purposes – to get a Rank 39 weapon and enough HL to buy multiple Mr Gency Exits. You will have to go to floor 1 to 100 on three different items, and depending on the drops of the initial item, could be forced to go very deep. If you find a Legendary Rank 39 bow with 98 or 99 rarity, it may also be a good idea to enter that item world and kill item bosses to turn that into Rarity 100, exit, reenter and diver down to floor 100 and steal the Rank 39 weapon from Item God 1. (Note using divers in Rank 39 item worlds prevent Item God 2 from appearing, and you are going to need those mystery rooms for Mr Gency Exits.)

You will need to head into the item world next to be able to finish off the remaining classes. The weapon that Zed had equipped should be at the Max level so use D Merits to get a rank 39 weapon. Turn off Auto Battle and create a new group with Zed, Mao, Laharl, Etna, Flonne, and the two thieves. Move innocents with one of these features into the Rank 39 weapon: Statistician, anything that enhance resistances to status aliments, and Professional. You will need to do this every 10 floors.

Go into the Rank 39 item world – note when you get those shoes and equip them ASAP. Kill every floor and head into Mystery Room – where you are looking for the shop that sells crab brains (zombie NPC), Mr Gency Exits, and ones that sell HP recovery items and legendary glasses. All other mystery rooms may be ignored. If you have someone in the squad that enhances base operations and its maxed out, go after the item god room as well. Kill all innocents. You are looking for a Vermier Thruster to take into another item world but you will need to get a couple extra to equip on Mao and Zed.

If you unlock the item world adventure squad max out that group and put your party in that group. This will deathblow all innocents. Put the XP innocent in the innocent farm (max that group out as well in squad shop) so anything that is born is subdued. The goal is to process item world until the XP innocent is at 900, with secondary goals of getting a barefoot X.

Enter a Vernier Thruster item world and level it up, then Gency out at Floor 99. Go and unlock the Fuka quest and kill Fuka on normal mode.

Go back into Floor 99 with auto battle off and go straight to the skip gate, then have Thief use Cat Snatch on Item God until Barefoot X is stolen. Kill Item God 2 if successful then exit out.

Go back into the Barefoot X item world and make it to Floor 100. Have thief attempt to steal, kill the item God and GENCY OUT. You will do this until you have stolen at least 4 Barefoot X and the unique innocent Combo Maker is learned. This is a RNG heavy process. Repeat the process on another Barefoot X – need a minimum of 2 of those items with Combo Maker and preferably 4 depending on RNG. It may be recommended to get the first Barefoot X to Rarity 100 before you send the thieves to steal. Rarity Matching is important.

You will then enter Cerebus Suit item world and diver down to floor 100 and steal the Suit (again, recommended to increase rarity to 100 by killing Gods/Gency out first). Equip this one on Mao. Mao and Zed should have Cerebus Suit and two Barefoot X equipped. (It is safe to use Divers on Cerebus Suit item worlds because the item god always has that equipped.) It does not matter what the Cerebus Suit has but the best possible RNG would be Combo Maker. You will run out of Mr Gency Exits at some point.

At this point you should be ready for the power level grind of Carnage provided that the innocents for Statistician is at 900 (preferably 2 of them for one for Zed and one for Mao). Breed two professionals in the farm.

Equip XP boost evilities on Zed and put game back to 20 stars. Mao should have stat boost evilities. Make sure all classes are mastered for both characters. Max out the Overlord Squad group and the person being power leveled should be in that group and other should be in prinny squad. Start at the Map between Chapter 1 to 8 that your character can actually kill the god of Destruction. Use the XP bills and your XP party for this stage and you should be able to afford 100 prinnies with Recycle Spirit by this point. You can turn off turn everyone into a bomb.

Do map one time, then go back to the HL making evility build on your strongest character, turn difficulty to 0 stars, HL to 1000, and go back to 2-3 Normal until you got enough HL to max out all classes on both Mao and Zed. It may be necessary to create certain characters to be able complete those quests. Once classes are mastered, change XP sliders to 1000, Mana to 100 and to back to power leveling working your way to 14-5 on Carnage. If enough HL remains, master the Sea Angel class for the other 8 people in the final power leveling group. Pass Equip Unique Evility bill for those 10 characters in the final power leveling group (after all prinnies are blown up, the ten that are deployed that includes your damage dealer), using Pay Up if the measure fails. The person that kills God of Destruction should have Bushido and the rest have the Sea Angel evility equipped.

Once you have Mao and Zed at 9,999,999 level make sure to equip status resist evilities (or innocents) and/or professional innocents on them, with remaining evilities on Tenacity and Longhorn and go clear Carnage Shura Maps. On the 5th map, send one towards the spot that the Mothman later spawns, kill the characters to force the spawn, kill the Mothman first then approach the enemies that appear on the right.

Once the final Carnage Shura Map is cleared you should be able to pass a new bill that is now available “Challenge the Rakshasa Dimension”. You will need to pass this bill by force or recommended by pay up.

Put all the CP into XP with small amounts in Mana and HL.

If you got karma points, unlock the final level boosts via reincarnation. At some point you will have enough XP to max out Dark Assembly to its fullest power – stack the dark assembly with prinnies and almost every bill will pass – if it fails just give up and try again. Overlord Guard (Elite 4) needs to be maxed out as well.

Go back to 14-5 power leveling map at first on Carnage (20 stars) but eventually on Rakasha (between 2 to 5 stars) and this time you will keep doing it until Mao and Zed are maxed out at 99,999,999 with at least ATK and HIT at 2000 – if you do so, use Elite 4 on the final power level of the character. Combo Maker innocent really helps with the clearing of this map on Rakasha. This power leveling session should take about 2 hours to do but all base stats need to be at 2000, and all modifiers need to be max out except for jump and throw. Final time you power level character make sure you got the 3 slot evility for HP, SP, ATK, DEF, HIT, and SPD and the 2 slot for INT and RES and equip anything with secret trainer if you got it. This process is done for Zed and Mao.

The bottom line is that Movement is king and the number of normal attacks you can do is highly critical because the more attacks you can do in a turn, faster that those level 99,999,999 enemies on Rakshasa Map 5 die, and attack range lets you do it from further out. However, if you got enough item points, put the 20M points into attack range on the barefoot X that can be upgraded. Attack range is just as important as you want to do attack at furthest distance possible and save counter attacks for opponent’s turns.

Set difficulty to 0 stars, XP to 0 and rest into Mana/HL and do Rakshasa maps, using throwing on one of the maps to first throw a mage into Mighty Enemy and then destroy No Entry.

Make sure for the maps that Zed and Mao have Zombie Reincarnation, all vaccines, Tenacity, and Mana Scarcity equipped. Longhorn if you got enough status resist innocents to 100 and you can take those vaccines off as a result. For unique evility, equip Bushido.

On Rakshasa 5, set out 1 level 1 prinny and end turn. Enemies have an AI that will charge the base panel. Prinny will die from the Mecha Girl. Repeat this process on turns 2 and 3. This should bring the enemies in range for your damage dealers. Kill Mecha Girl first then Archer. The Horseman will survive so leave that character for last. Remaining humans should be defeated before the Horseman. Prior to your attacks on your turns, bring out Rozalin, Desco, and Plenair but put them back into the base panels before ending your turn (may be necessary to equip Desco with shoes to put in range to boost attacks of Mao and Zed). Those 3 have unique evilities that will boost both attackers. Hopefully you should be able to clear map without the benefit of Zombie Revival on both characters. Combo Maker is key in this map as it gives you more attacks and more counter attacks. Healing % items should only be used if necessary – if this is needed have a level 1 character use the item from as close as the base panel moving the character needing healed towards them, and it should never be from those 3 support units unless you are low on deploy slots (you are sacrificing 3 of them to start the stage so you got 7 to work with but in reality it is 5 slots with Zombie Reincarnation).

Notes: Mao is the best option of killing God of Destruction in Post Game due to unique evility.

Average speed run for Rak 5 clear should take about 12 to 16 hours but this is RNG heavy. I did a speed run in just under 22 hours but made numerous mistakes between hours 4 and 12 that were costly. Storyline itself can be cleared sub 3 hours but if RNG goes right can be sub 2. You can unlock carnage sub 4.

Disgaea 6 – ultimate HL farming (at least 2 quadrillion per hour rates)

The game has been out in Japan since February, and the complete game has the best HL farming rates – of approximately 16 figures per hour depending on RNG.

Evility Setups – 3 characters

Common: Damage Reward/Board Killer/Handicap/Longhorn/Mana Blade/Punishing Punisher/Death Fang/Blood Insanity/Piercing Shot

Unique: Mass Blaster/Elemental Blade or Support Attack

Evility Setups 7 characters

Common: Damage Reward/Handicap/Board Killer/Unity/Double Up/Mana Scarcity/Punishing Punisher

Unique: Support Attack/Mass Blaster

Note that depending on character, there will be some variances with common and unique evility setups but the most important details are in the innocents. The full game has to be out to pull off this setup, it is not possible to do it in the demo version as the item world is required.

Innocent lists (each character): Combo Maker Unique Innocent on all equipment, Hypnotist/Charmer/Paralyze on all characters, and resist Sleep/Charm/Paralyze on all 10 characters.

The common evility Piercing Shot is mandatory for the three characters who will be doing the actual attacks. It allows all characters other than allies to be hit with normal attacks but with the Demonic Intelligence, it only gets every one of them if the character considered the enemy force is the target furthest away.

Preferred Maps

Anything with lucky boards, most notably the item world mystery room map with 10 lucky boards is the preferred option. If you choose to use this map, make sure that the lucky board that stands by itself is thrown to the furthest side of the room like this tweet below:

The innocents are mandatory because without them, enemies will simply move out of position all the time. Certain maps take a few minutes to set up for optimal rates with manual battle moves, and enemies moving around mess up the plans. The one in the mystery room takes about 4 turns to properly setup due to the lifting and throwing that it requires.

When set up have Demonic Intelligence set with enemy forces > target furthest enemy > normal attack on the three main attackers. The 7 support will be split into two towers. If this is done correctly the combo attack should be around 200+ depending on the number of party members with combo maker equipped on their equipment.

When correctly done, everyone will be in a single file line – but the one that is considered the enemy force must be the furthest one away yet still in attack range.

#Disgaea6 Demo – Mage HL farming guide (1B+ HL per hour rate possible)

Last post featured Handicap, while this post will not. The mage has a unique skill called Elemental Burst that is a 5 square line of sight attack that uses all SP and is often used to close combos in end game. But in the Disgaea 6 Demo, Elemental Burst is the best method of HL gain in the game. Trillions per hour is not out of the question but it will take a lot of work (farming the best xp map over and over again, using hog all mana to put the mana on the mage, then power up the Elemental Burst and repeat).

The main drawback to Elemental Burst is that it consumes all SP, so it is not paired with Handicap for massive HL per hour gains. Instead, the map is a 0 star map that where all enemies are in a line of sight. Map 1-3 is the earliest example.

Prep Work

Like the previous post, there is some substantial prep work similar to the Zed method except that the Mage requires fewer reincarnations to make this work. Once the mage was ready to reincarnate, I used the drink bar 250 times by drinking 1 mana at a time. This needs to be held off until the mage has all the damage unlocks available if possible. If you do the 100 reincarnations make sure one of the other damage unlocks is available as they cost a lot of Karma.

To get the mana to power up the Elemental Burst, you need to do the Hog all HL battle on 20 stars and with at least one character maxed out on mana gain stuff and you will also need the 100 prinnies to pull it off. Every few battles have the mage to hog all mana, then level up Elemental Burst in the skill shop until the level is at 9999 (which will take a long time).

Evility Setup

The image above is for 12 slots. When 16 slots become available you add Mana Scarcity to the fold and at 18 slots you can add Ambush or another star damage boosting evility.

Spend mana to upgrade this spell as early as possible

The damage output is RNG heavy but dealing 1T during the demo was impressive and it is entirely possible to farm 1T per hour in the demo on the Elemental Burst.

Just one battle on 12 slots and Elemental Burst near level 500. The HL output per battle does vary to an degree but this is approximately 1B HL per hour rate depending on RNG.

Disgaea 6 – Damage Reward HL Rate/Minute Guide (Demo version)

As you reincarnate your characters you will unlock at some point Damage Reward. This is a RNG heavy odds of luck and its possible it can be obtained very early or much later. This is a very important evility – once it is obtained read this very carefully.

Prep work

This is an setup that will take a LOT of prep work. In the demo, you will eventually notice that counter attacks deal far more damage than normal attacks – and there are evilities that enhance counter attacks that take few slots. This is key as you can get at most 12 slots without classes master and 18 with the available classes mastered – and this is not a easy task as you will need to spend 270M HL to unlock a class from level 5 to 6. Some of those evilities also come via reincarnation, which makes it impossible to set up at the beginning.

This guide only requires ONE character – Zed. The reason we are picking Zed is that he gets a damage boost unique evility that for every reincarnation he has, Zed gets a 1% damage boost. This caps at 200 reincarnations. The second reason is that Zed uses fists as the primary weapon, but a sword is just as preferable due to the fact swords only rely on one base stat of ATK where fists rely on two. The third reason is that Zed has the highest number of counter attacks available at the start of the game and need just 5 reincarnations at level 9999 (genius) to get the first two boosts.

All these evilities are unlocked in the shop (via D-Merits) or reincarnation. The evility on the very top is the most important one of them all – it comes via reincarnation and without it, you cannot farm HL with damage reward. That evility is Handicap and as long Zed is of equal or higher level than the enemy, the enemy will always be left with 1 HP.

Tenacity and Head to Head are used to enhance counter attack damage, Warrior Killer is used on the Map 2-3 to give a 50% damage boost as the enemy is considered a Warrior, and Muscle Increase and Tenacity gives slight ATK boosts.

If you noticed in the screenshot, all the evilities that focus on damage actually focus on counter attack damage. With HL spent on shards (as high as could afford), it is possible to hit counter attacks for over 100+ million on just 12 reincarnations and 1B on just 50 reincarnations. Damage Reward gives a bonus of 0.001% HL for total damage done, so 100M damage results in approximately 100K HL gained. Since both the Warrior and Zed have high number of counter attacks, it is possible to do 100M+ damage twice in a single turn.

The final step is to unlock 4x speed – which will take a lot of mana and likely will result in a persuade by force – so make sure the character gaining xp has hog all xp active before this step is taken. This intent is to speed up the process of killing.

When you get additional evility slots available (right now can get up to 18 slots), they need to be prioritized to Crack Shot (ATK+5% for 1 slot), Longhorn (2 slots), and Double Up (3 slots, obtained from Thief class mastery), or Taste of Victory (4 slots, obtained via reincarnation).

First store about 20,000 mana in the drink bar and use drink bar for 101 mana every time until Zed hits reincarnation count to 199, spending karma earned from d-merits as they are earned. Once the count hits 199, stop, then use drink bar for 1 mana at a time until the final drink bar d-merit is unlocked for 10M Karma, then reincarnate Zed for the final time maxing out the categories (there will be karma left over).

12 slot evility setup for the map 2-3 using counter attack method to get damage. As slots unlock you will add Head to Head, Longhorn, and Red Power.
HL gained after 1 enemy turn – averaging over 1B in counter attack damage on 12 evility slots. Gun is equipped for this run as weapon mastery is being worked on at the same time.

Zed was dealing approximately 200M per normal attack but 1 to 4 BILLION damage on a counter attack depending on critical attacks. The rate was approximately 1M to 1.5M HL per minute, which translates to about 115M to 120M HL per hour – when 12 slots are used and even higher when Zed maxes out on shards and has 18 slots used.

After one hour of 4x auto battle with 12 slot counter attack strategy. Over 1/3 of the required HL for a class mastery is complete.

ディスガイア6 – Disgaea 6 Preparing for Baal

The April 28 update released Baal on the JP version of Disgaea 6 and the requirements to unlock the bill is daunting.

If you can reincarnate a max level character, you will notice new options can be purchased with Karma and the max base stats go from 2000 to 4000. The good news is that you can power up your character even further this update. The bad news is that one character must be completely maxed out in order to unlock the bill for Baal.

The 5 upgrades you can purchase with Karma cost 500M points each. It takes 1B karma points to go from 2000 to 4000 in each base stat. In the end, you will need 3.5B Karma points to max out one character, which will take to the tune of 420 reincarnations.

The good news is that you only have to max out one character to unlock the bill, so I suggest this being one of the characters that will be a main damage dealer in the Baal fight such as Zed or King. DLC is not required for the battle, as the HL farming strategy that the Japanese players have exhibited in past months is showing to be the best option for a Baal victory even on 20 star Super Carnage (Rakshasa).

In the opening maps, the lesser characters are not required to be defeated to advance to the next part, so they are ignored. In the part with the humanoid characters (ninja, warrior, armor knight and mage), all characters have to be taken out so a prinny is brought out for a sacrifice in the first turn, first to bring Baal in closer to set up a rear attack, but to open up the area where the support characters can lift and throw the remaining humans in an alignment for a line of sight attack that is the main bread and butter of the HL farming method. One support character is put just in front of the base panel but 3 panels in front of Baal and looks to the side. The preferred method is to use storyline characters with Zed, King, and Biyoeu as the attackers, and other characters to be the support. The attackers used in the order are Majorly, Bioyeu, King, and Zed and if executed properly can do a combo over 300.

It is not recommended to have auto attack on for this battle as there are many parts and correct alignment is necessary to obtain the victory.

ディスガイア6 / Disgaea 6 item point farming

This is going to be a time consuming process for many reasons. First reason was that in version 1.12 of Disgaea 6 version that was released in Japan on the PS4, a popular item point farming method was severely nerfed.

How bad it got nerfed – first is a video that was published about 2 weeks after the game came out:

With that setup, it was possible to farm over 100B item points per hour.

When version 1.12 update came out in early March (between March 1 through 6), the same evility and magic heart setup would only result in this:

The only difference was the change in the magic heart of the other 9 characters to “box in” the lucky boards. Once the attacking sage enters, the turn ends because in Version 1.12, magical hearts no longer attack enemies when allies are in range of the attack. This, in turn, has nerfed item point farming to the degree that players have opted for other strategies to get those points that are very much time consuming at best.

Post Version 1.12 item point farming

  1. Working on item collection completion rates. There are several quests that are dependent on item collection completion percentages, and the intent is to make use of item world and/or item exploration to get all the necessary items. Eventually you are looking for an legendary rank 90+ (higher rank number the better) of each item in the game. The most important fact is that you need the innocent town that happens every 10 floors enabled so you can access the shop. This method requires HL but this shop actually sells rare and legendary rank items. Don’t forget to have your thieves to unlock chests as you climb these floors for the potential of more rare and legendary items. You will kill item gods and generals in each item until you know that the item has hit rank 100, then exit out.
  2. Thieves stealing from Rank 40 item gods – once you have gotten enough Rank 40 equipment to satisfy your needs, you will need a lot of Mr. Gency Exits to pull this one off – but you can steal from an item god of any Rank 40 item, gency out, then steal again. There is a video below that shows this technique.

Again, that method is time consuming and it is dependent on the number of Mr. Gency Exits, I recommend using a Level 9999 Epic Rank item for the stealing technique – using a Super Carnage item has the highest amount of points.

3. Thieves using stealing ability in certain Super Carnage maps then sages using a conal AOE to clear the map. This is an strategy that auto battle does work, but it does have drawbacks. The big drawback is that filling up your inventory with stolen items will only put about 10,000,000 item points per run even on a super carnage map – and it takes 15 minutes to fill up an inventory.

Because it requires several hundred trillion item points to max out an item through optimization methods, it is no doubt why players opt to put the first item points into movement and attack range of each item that their characters equip.

ディスガイア6 Disgaea 6 End Game

General steps

  1. Complete main storyline.
  2. Pass a bill that involves Etna, Flonne, and Lahral – and complete that storyline. This unlocks Carnage Dimension.
  3. Pass a bill that involves Etna, Flonne, and Lahral – and complete the second phase of that storyline. This unlocks Super Carnage.
  4. Both Carnage and Super Carnage have their own Shura Towers but priority of clearing them should be low. That opportunity comes much later after you max out characters. The one character in the Super Carnage Shura Tower has a Arcadia available for stealing.

Priorities for Power Leveling

  1. Zed – due to the fact he is stronger early in the game and later gets a SS+ power single target attack.
  2. Thief – you will need several of them later on. The use of a Thief is mandatory due to the removal of the hands.
  3. Galaxy Mage
  4. Flonne
  5. Majorly
  6. Any other character

Early maps are 2-1 and Martial Training 1, later on the final map of the next to last chapter will unlock (has 5 boss characters). This is the main map. Create 110 prinnies because you will need them.

Prinnies need to be initially set up to level 9999 so only do it as you got the mana available. You will need to use drink shop to get enough mana to reincarnate them to level 1. From this point on your prinnies will be level 1. The reason for 9999 for the initial level is to have evility slots for Recycling Spirit and Happy Song. Combined, those two evilities take 10 slots. All prinnies need them. If a unique slot is available, it should be on the Sea Angel unique. This permits a blown up prinny not to count a dispatch slot.

When setting up Magical Heart Edit Shop for the AI, make sure you have all bills relating to the Heart Edit passed. One prinny is set up to lift and throw the nearest prinny when the other 9 in a group of 10 get in. I suggest making the color of the lifting prinny different than the ones that will stand there.

Four bills must be passed for the Power Leveling – and must be done every time. One is Triple XP, one is MVP XP, one is Hog all XP, and another has XP bonus boost for characters under level 10. The character you want to get the XP must be the one passing the bill.

End Game Item Farming

Since it is possible to have max stats in Disgaea 6 without any items equipped, the main priority is finding items with movement. Movement is king in this game. Attack range is the second priority.

While the item optimization is the same as the previous Disgaea games, surviving a deep item world run in Rank 40 Super Carnage is much harder. With that said, it is best to farm and save up item points, then spend them on end game items. HL is of the lowest priority once you finish power leveling so more often than not you will be clearing maps over and over again.

Thus the biggest priority of stealing and farming is Barefoot X.

For the Rank 39 item, like always, you have to Gency Out at Floor 99 but you cannot use divers at any point in a Rank 39 item world. Using a diver in a Rank 39 item world, regardless of item level, will result in the Item God having all Rank 39 items equipped. The big difference in a Rank 40 item, you can go to floor 10, then use Diver 10 until Floor 100, attempt to steal then Gency Out. Another difference is that the maximum percentage of a steal is capped at 50% for normal items and 25% for super carnage – for a rear attack. This will require a lot of reloads. The good news regarding a Rank 40 item world is that you can steal the Rank 40 item from the Item God, use a Mr. Gency Exit, return to that item world, and steal that Rank 40 item again as long you have Mr. Gency Exits in your inventory. In addition, the Item God always has the Rank 40 item at the highest level you have taken the item to in the game along with the Rank, for example if you have an Epic Level 9999 Barefoot X and enter that item world at Floor 100, the Item God will have an Epic Level 9999 Barefoot X to steal. This is very useful as duping has been nerfed to some extent but because you can max out stats without equipment the emphasis is movement and unique innocents.

Next step is to farm up rank points, the common method is to use thieves and then the generic class with a conal attack.

Other methods include item world treasure chest cracking although that one is time consuming.

Item World Optimization

The good news is that the process of optimization is similar to Disgaea 5. The main differences is that innocents max out in the 10 figures for HP and SP and 8 figures for the other base stats instead of 50,000 for the previous game. The bad news is that there are no invaders or pirates to increase training bonuses in Disgaea 6 and the odds of encountering a mystery room with a battle is much lower. There is just 5 potential rooms with fights out of 9 mystery rooms and the cheat shop mystery room only allows you to bribe the gate keeper.

When it comes to items, the stat differences between a normal item and a super carnage item when all training bonuses for all stats is maxed out is not significant enough to make a difference and as such you are far much better off using a non carnage item world to max out Rank 40 for end game needs. This is important to know because a Rank 40 Super Carnage item world even at 0 stars is much harder to remove the enemies with a single attack without spending tons of SP and specific evility setups are necessary just for survival. With an normal item, the major threat becomes ally kills but all members should be using the common evility from Zed that allows revival in base panel once per stage. When it comes to the item world, this counts as once per floor and because allows the revival at full HP and SP, it is quite useful when your character runs out of SP to intentionally kill that character off. This is because the cost of using the hospital in the item world at high levels is extremely expensive and its actually much cheaper to use curry items from the mystery room shop to heal characters.

The main issue is that it will take more than a trillion item points to max out a base stat so increasing training bonus for as deep of the item world you can handle is very crucial. Kill bonus eventually has an hard cap that is the same for both normal rank and super carnage and the differences of the max stats is negligible given that your characters can have max stats without any gear equipped.
